CCTV, Security Systems and Low-Voltage Addendum
Use with the Customer Service Terms.
1. System Purpose and Limitations
CCTV, alarms, access control, intercoms, sensors and related systems are risk-management tools. They cannot guarantee prevention, detection, response, identification or recovery in every event. Coverage can be affected by lighting, weather, obstruction, camera angle, storage, network conditions, user settings, tampering and equipment failure.
2. Customer Authority and Lawful Use
The customer confirms authority to approve device placement and is responsible for complying with privacy, employment, tenancy, condominium, audio-recording, signage, notice and consent requirements that apply to the customer's use of the system.
Aurxio may provide practical placement guidance but does not provide legal advice. Aurxio may refuse a requested location or feature that appears unsafe, deceptive or unlawful. Audio recording will not be enabled unless the customer confirms that its use is lawful.
3. Coverage and Final Placement
Camera views and device locations will be selected based on the agreed objectives and site conditions. The customer should review the live views before final acceptance. Later changes to landscaping, lighting, shelving, signage, furniture, network equipment or building layout may affect coverage.
4. Internet, Power and Third-Party Services
Remote viewing, cloud recording, notifications and updates may depend on reliable electrical power, internet service, local network performance, mobile operating systems, manufacturer servers and paid subscriptions. Aurxio does not control those third-party services and cannot guarantee their continued availability.
5. Accounts, Passwords and Cybersecurity
The customer must provide accurate account information and is responsible for passwords, multi-factor authentication, authorized users and account recovery after handover. Temporary installer access should be removed or changed. The customer should install security updates and avoid sharing credentials through insecure channels.
6. Storage and Recordings
Recording duration is an estimate based on camera settings, activity, storage capacity, compression and system operation. The customer is responsible for reviewing retention settings, exporting important evidence and replacing failed storage devices. Aurxio does not guarantee that a specific event will be recorded or retained.
7. No Monitoring Unless Separately Agreed
Aurxio does not continuously monitor alarms, cameras, access events or customer recordings unless a separate written monitoring or managed-service agreement expressly provides that service. Emergency response, police dispatch or insurance compliance is not included unless stated in writing.
8. Customer-Supplied Systems
Compatibility, licensing, firmware support and performance of customer-supplied or previously installed equipment cannot be guaranteed. Additional diagnostic or replacement work may be required where passwords are unavailable, equipment is obsolete or the existing installation is damaged or non-compliant.
9. Maintenance
Cameras, lenses, storage devices, batteries, network equipment, firmware and mounting hardware require periodic inspection and maintenance. Unless a maintenance plan is included, ongoing cleaning, testing, updates and replacement are the customer's responsibility.
